A plantation initiative taken by the Gujarat Government and the Forest Department since the past 67 years across Gujarat called Van Mohotsav. 2016 marked the 67th Van Mohotsav and Ekta Van was one of the four forest parks developed across Gujarat. Ekta Van is spread in extensive 6 Hectares of land and has information on various tree species found in the state, and in the country. Being inaugurated by the then Chief Minister of Gujarat Mrs. Anandiben Patel, the prestigious project won the award for the Best Forest Park developed under this initiative and is dedicated to commemorate Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's link to Bardoli satyagraha. The Park was opened to public in August 2016.
